FIELD NOTES
Genuine USMC FILBE large main pack, coyote brown. About 5,000 cu in capacity, PALS webbing, and a lid pocket. USGI military surplus.
The large rucksack from the U.S. Marine Corps’ Family of Improved Load Bearing Equipment (FILBE) system. FILBE replaced the earlier ILBE pack because ILBE didn’t work with the newest body armor. It’s built for long field operations and heavy loads, with room for several days of gear.
