Pre-owned GI 1 Quart Insulated Canteen Cover — USGI ALICE Canteen Pouch, Olive Drab

A genuine U.S. military 1 quart canteen cover from the ALICE (LC-1) field gear system, in pre-owned condition. The heavy-duty olive drab nylon shell has an insulated pile liner that helps keep water cooler in the heat and slows freezing in the cold. Two snap closures hold the canteen in place, a small hook-and-loop side pocket holds water purification tablets, and a drain grommet in the bottom lets moisture out. Two metal ALICE clips on the back attach it to a pistol belt, ALICE pack, or other compatible gear.

Canteen not included. This is the cover only. Canteens are available for purchase in the surplus category. 

Every cover is different. These came out of real service, and no two have lived the same life. Expect normal signs of use, which can include:

• Faded or uneven green, from sun and washing
• Dirt, stains, scuffs, and marker writing, including names or numbers from previous owners
• Wrinkled, matted, or flattened wool lining, and some discoloration inside
• Light rust or tarnish on the snaps and ALICE clips
• Frayed edges, loose threads, and worn spots on the webbing

The shade of green, stitching, and hardware also vary, because military covers were made by different government contractors over the years. You’ll receive a cover like the ones described here. Because every one is unique, we can’t select a specific cover or match one to a photo.
