Genuine USGI M1 Helmet Liner — P64 Ground Troops Type I, 1983 Contract, U.S. Military Surplus
Please note: The liner in the photos may not be the exact liner you receive. We stock many of these, and you’ll get one in similar condition to the one pictured. Email PottstownArmyNavy@gmail.com if you’d like photos of a specific liner before you buy.
The liner is the inner helmet that sits inside the M1 steel pot. This is the late-production Ground Troops Type I liner, known to collectors as the P64, made of molded, laminated nylon cloth. It’s a genuine liner from the final years of the M1’s service, made under a 1983 contract. The cloth weave shows on the surface as a fine texture, and some liners have fraying along the edges from age and storage. Choose it by itself, or add the unissued removable suspension and extra small headband we sell.
